University of Chicago’s RDA Examples
RDA replaces the 245$h general material designation (GMD) with three RDA/MARC21 fields: 336 content, 337 media type, and 338 carrier. Electronic resources have the 337 term "computer". We will substitute the ISBD Area 0 term "electronic". We find the term "computer" confusing, and increasingly library electronic resources are used on devices other than computers. Field 337 is optional rather than mandatory, so you might decide not to display it.
